Anyone else got one of these? I have just bought one.

When I was around Geordie Wonga's place last weekend he had one and it shows the majority of EPL matches in HD and all the latest movie releases.

I hope that one day somebody invents one of these things that you just plug in and it works.
No fucking about, the bastard works from minute 1 and never crashes or needs updates.

Can someone let me know when that happens?

Re: MXQ TV Box
I loved mine at first, for the first week then got really frustrated with it. You end up spending more time finding links that work than watching anything. Never use mine now.

Buy a media pc and use that as a media station and download what you want to watch to that. Much better.

Re: MXQ TV Box
Worm, there is such a box, but you have to pay Sky around £80+ a month for the privilege

All you need to do is spend an hour or two researching what the best add ons are and how to install update then.

It really isnt that difficult but lazy people expect the lot put on a plate and are prepared to put in fuck all.

If you scroll back a bit on the Android TV boxes thread all the links and info is there

My M8 Box is an absolute joy... loving that new Wookie Lite set up... far less clumpy... love the horse racing section on Phoenix... films, docs and races galore... superb stuff... only thing is to stop watching the bastard thing (up until 2:45am!!)

NJM's football links are great (at the moment) and most of them in HD

Re: MXQ TV Box
I actually started to import these from China and resell. The only difference is I decided that Android was clunky and had to much installed which slowed it down. On this version Kodi is a app within others.

I now wipe Android and install Linux with openelec and install just Kodi with the latest add -ons. When you turn our box on it goes straight into a customised kodi and its quick.

The standard boxes are ok but as mentioned they come with to much installed i.e. Facebook, Twitter, basically they make your TV into a sort of smart TV with Kodi as an extra.

The boxes I sell are designed just for Kodi and work a treat.

There is so much to watch its unreal , you could probably retire now and not run out of things to watch.

I watched the Bin Dippers last night on NJM in HD without a buffer in sight....

Is it easy to do that, I might try it if it is?

Re: MXQ TV Box
was thinking about getting something like this. Mate of mine as a T8, the latest version is double the price of this MXQ box and I have no idea what the difference is or if it is worth the additional £50

Well, standard WHO practice is a link to the missus, but in this instance I meant to buy.

Re: MXQ TV Box
TB, just go to eBay and search for openelec boxes, they start around the £60+ mark

Re: MXQ TV Box
Thanks Cough.

I glance at these things from time-to-time but TBH I can never really be bothered with the effort - I hardly watch football at home, and couldn't realistically get rid of Sky anyway. When I do glance there are so many different options I get bored very quickly and give up!

There's a bit of learning curve with Kodi but once you get the hang of it, it becomes really impressive

Re: MXQ TV Box
I'm looking for a new box but I need Netflix and Amazon Prime video to work as I don't have a smart tv. Problem is Android is a little clunky and slow.

Maybe an Amazon fire tv box from droidsticks, I have heard the fire boxes are pretty quick? Other suggestions?
